Focus Groups: A Method of Needs Assessment

A b s t r a c t

The focus group is a method of needs assessment that continues to increase in popularity. The purpose of this article is to present the reader with examples of how focus groups have been used in the continuing health education field for needs assessment, examine some of the techniques involved in the method, and discuss implications for further research.
