Evaluating Touch Pad Technology
Robert J. Gagnon, MSc

An instrument was developed to evaluate the possible impact of the use of touch pad technology. A group of 255 respondents expressed very positive evaluation on several aspects: interaction, participation, self-evaluation, immediate feedback, and active role of participants. Less important aspects were associated with impact on learning, practice, and fulfillment of learning needs. This study confirms the usefulness of touch pad technology in the context of continuing medical education (CME) activities and provides some interesting research questions.
