The University of Florida has been able to provide the physicians of Florida with a continuing medical education opportunity to meet their immediate needs. It offers quality education at a modest cost to the individual with considerable savings in time and cost to the individual physician. By using self-study tapes, we have developed a method of teaching physicians that provides positive reinforcement while presenting an overview of the malpractice crisis and detailing its causes. We believe we have made a significant contribution toward improving risk management techniques for the Florida physician.
